Reporting House is a testament to the important work done by both local and international journalists during the war in Kosovo. Produced by BIRN Kosovo, KALLXO.com, the Prishtina Biennale, and Paper Gallery, the exhibition showcases the work of journalists, photographers, and media workers — works that are presented alongside contemporary art pieces that reflect on the impact of the war in the decades that followed.
Participants in the conference included: Jeta Xharra, Executive Director of BIRN Kosovo and producer of the exhibition; Gazmend Ejupi, curator of the exhibition; David Loyn, BBC TV correspondent during the Kosovo war; Vaughan Smith, producer and cameraman for BBC reports; Emir Suljagić, Executive Director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center (Bosnia and Herzegovina); Lana Čmajčanin, artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina; and Donika Shahini Lami, journalist and translator during the war for Japanese Public Television NHK and the magazine Kombi.
As part of this exhibition, around 150 television reports from global TV networks are presented, all filmed in Kosovo between 1992 and 1999. These include reports from BBC, Das Erste (German public television), Nippon TV (NHK, Japanese public broadcaster), RTE (Irish public television), EO 2 Vandaag (Dutch public TV), Tele 5 (Spanish TV), and Frontline Television News. These reports highlight the work of journalists, photographers, cameramen, translators, and local producers who contributed to them.
