Rea Kurtaj is the Space Manager and Guide at Reporting House in Prishtina. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the space, coordinates public programs, and leads guided tours in Albanian and English for visitors. Through her work, she interprets the museum’s historical and artistic content, creating opportunities for reflection on the war and collective memory. Her responsibilities also include organizing public discussions, film screenings, and educational programs in collaboration with artists, curators, and subject-matter experts.
Before joining Reporting House, Rea was involved in a range of artistic, cultural, and film projects across Kosovo. She worked at ARKIV – Institute for Contemporary Art in Peja, where she assisted in coordinating public programs and hosting local and international artists. She also contributed to the restoration project of the Xhafer Deva building in Mitrovica, participating in the restoration of decorative elements through sculptural and modeling processes. Her professional experience further includes working on film productions as an assistant director and set photographer. At the Anibar Festival, she progressed over the years from volunteer to International Jury Coordinator. Through these experiences, she has developed a multidisciplinary practice centered on contemporary art, film, photography, and cultural mediation.
Rea Kurtaj studied Art and Digital Media at UBT – University for Business and Technology in Prishtina, specializing in installation art, film, photography, and contemporary artistic practice. Her professional and research interests lie at the intersection of contemporary art and public spaces for cultural dialogue.
